Then you could be our next category manager - a business-oriented role where you drive the purchasing work of contracting services within our bioenergy operations. We are looking for someone who sees the forest as a fantastic opportunity and wants to help create and develop collaborations with the contractors who make our bioenergy operations possible. You will work closely with the market and contribute to ensuring that our contractors in areas such as logging, chipping, and transportation operate smoothly both in daily work and in the long term. Your daily tasks will include contractor dialogues, contract management, problem-solving, and more.
Here are some additional responsibilities and tasks that belong to the role:
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, including proactive purchasing
- Design and implement annual business plans that align with the company's goals and strategies, focusing on continuous improvement of our purchasing process
- Monitor contractual requirements and ensure compliance
- Stay updated on market developments
- Participate in development work related to purchasing and business.
The role offers a free and stimulating work environment with significant influence. You will be part of an experienced team and report to the Director of Sourcing and Logistics. Office locations can be Hässleholm, Växjö, Jönköping, or Linköping. Travel within the area – from Östgötaslätten through Småland to southern Sweden is included.
Who are we looking for
You thrive in a purchasing role where relationships, dialogue, and practical business work are at the center. You are confident in negotiations, have good business acumen, and are driven to create structure, solve problems, and develop working methods. Your competence is based on relevant higher education and several years of experience in the forestry industry.
Skills and qualifications that we believe you have:
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, and negotiations with a proven ability to drive and lead purchasing processes, both operationally and strategically
- A structured approach with a focus on follow-up and feedback
- Good ability to plan and execute your work independently
- Analytical ability with a holistic perspective
- Inspiring and persuasive communication skills
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
